Sharing a sad news: Prof. Priti Shankar of CSA, IISc is no more!
She was the first teacher whose lecture I had attended during my stay in IISc. I feel indebted to all the support she had provided during my early and most difficult days in IISc. Throughout her days she has inspired innumerable students as a great human-being, teacher, researcher and as a woman. And beyond her time, she will continue to do so.

Really a sad news. She was also in my interview panel. I knew how you used to tell how helpful she was to you.
V saddened to know the news....have and will always cherish the few conversations with prof priti....She will remain in our hearts always....
She was such a motherly figure and radiated warmth and comfort around her. I was fortunate to spend some priceless moments during her last few months and she continued to inspire others even in her suffering. I guess she did her best to prepare all her students that very soon, she wont be around. with deep sadness, i have to say, she not only showed how to live, but also how to die.
